Basic Function

The Regional Sales Executive (RSE) is an inside sales position targeting and selling opportunities in their assigned geographic territory below $25K. The RSE manages their territory in order to maintain existing customers and develops relationships with new accounts in order to achieve Company and individual sales objectives. The RSE provides quality customer service, coordinates and integrates internal personnel while utilizing available resources in order to meet customer needs with the promotion of their product portfolio and company services. The RSE will drive tactical sales strategy to consistently meet revenue and growth objectives. The RSE must be process oriented and have strong business acumen, including, sales forecasting, pipeline management and product differentiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly contact new and existing customers; identify customer needs and establish requirements for potential sale of new services
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to attain prospective customers by up-selling and cross-selling training, training materials, products and services as appropriate
  • Provide extraordinary service through phone interactions with customers, building rapport, completing needs analysis, offering advice and overcoming objections to generate sales
  • Utilize company leads to expand current customer base and follow up all leads promptly
  • Participate in pre-sale activities for new business opportunities
  • Perform internal administrative activities for new and existing customers (legal agreement, creation of sales cycle control letters, startup submittal, etc.)
  • Document all customer-related activities in Salesforce.com
  • Generate proposals and contracts for new and existing customers
  • Plan, schedule and conduct customer-related meetings
  • Create opportunities and maintain accurate forecast in Salesforce.com
  • Coordinate and schedule initial implementation of new services/programs sold
  • Keeping current on changing industry regulations and industry trends
  • Develop and maintain business plan to meet and/or exceed budgeted objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and 4 years of experience is preferred
  • 2 - 4 years of inside sales experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office, Salesforce.com or other CRM
  • Meet or exceed monthly individual sales goal on a consistent basis
  • Maintain strategic territory and account plans for assigned territory
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and self-management skills
  • Excellent customer management and sales cycle control skills
