Policies & Procedures

An ASHI or MEDIC First Aid Training Center is required to establish policies and procedures to handle the following quality assurance measures within their administration:

  • Certification material and final exam security
  • Student and Instructor Quality Assurance
  • Equipment maintenance and decontamination
  • Professional conduct

HSI TCAM 2011-2012

These policies and procedures are required to be submitted in the event that the Training Center is selected for a random Quality Assurance Review. HSI offers sample policies and procedures for our Training Centers to model within their own organization if they are not already defined. These sample policies can be found in the Training Center Administrative Manual (TCAM).

The 2011-2012 HSI TCAM edition was made necessary as a result of the release of the 2010 changes in emergency medical care guidelines and the resulting updates to our training programs.   The individual ASHI and MEDIC First Aid TCAMs have been merged into this single document.
