Approval & Compliance

In the world of emergency care and occupational health & safety training, training products and materials are subject to regulation. For this reason, the training programs that HSI offers must either:

• Comply with established standards (federal and state laws or regulations),
  
  
• Be approved by an authorized regulating body (state agency, licensing board, etc.) or,
  
  
• Be accredited by an independent educational accrediting organization.
  
  

The HSI Department of Regulatory and Quality Assurance works to make sure our products stay in compliance or maintain their approved or accredited status.  However, every HSI-authorized Instructor also needs to work to make sure they know the training regulations applicable to the state, industry, and organization in which they are operating.  Training Center directors and Instructors can find regulatory and approval information in these pages and in the Training Center Manager.
