Winning Regulatory Approval for Programs and How You Can Help!

Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque

Our regulatory experts work hard to have our ASHI and MEDIC First Aid programs approved for fulfilling any given emergency care training requirement. It's a lot of time spent on proposals, materials reviews, back-and-forth correspondence with regulators, and sometimes the approval process can take months or even years.

With a dedicated staff to track pending legislation around the country, we are continually working on gaining more approvals to help our training centers. Sometimes, though, the instructors on the front lines hear about changes or hit an approval roadblock before we do and take it upon themselves to get that approval ball rolling.

Case in point: ASHI instructor Jeana King-Beach, RN, of Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico recently obtained approval for the ASHI ACLS program for the physicians at the hospital. She asked for assistance from our approval specialist, who set Jeana up with one of the ASHI program fact sheets to take to her meeting with the hospital's training coordinator.

Because of Jeana's initiative and success, our specialist was able to add a new approval into our ever-expanding Otis regulatory database.

We're frequently reminded here at HSI how so much of everything we do is truly a team effort, and we consider every one of our instructors to be important players on that team. We want to support you and your work every way we can, and program approvals is a major ongoing initiative for us.

If you have gotten approval for one of our programs, please let us know so we can share your good news. Should you need additional assistance getting your favorite ASHI or MEDIC First Aid programs accepted by one of your training center customers, contact our team. We'll work with you and on your behalf to try and win that approval so you can expand your services to your customer.
