  • This introductory program provides employees with a general awareness of the purpose and function of OSHA, including reporting and record-keeping requirements, adherence to standards, and inspections.

Portable Fire Extinguishers: Extinguisher basics and use; P.A.S.S.; maintenance & testing

  • Designed to train individuals in the use of portable fire extinguishers in the workplace. These easy-to-use devices could make the difference between a small emergency and a major catastrophe. The course reviews how to determine when or if an extinguisher is appropriate and explains the Fire Triangle, P.A.S.S. Technique, fire classifications, and types of extinguishers.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Workplace hazards; using PPE; wear and care of PPE

  • When work practice and engineering controls are not enough to ensure a safe environment, a hazard assessment is performed to determine what personal protective equipment is required to protect a worker’s health and safety. This course presents a thorough understanding of workplace PPE practices including assessment as well as selection, use, and care of the equipment.

Respiratory Protection: Respirator types and usage; user seal check; fit testing

  • This course provides a thorough understanding of respirator use in the workplace, reviewing workplace breathing hazards as well as the correct care, inspection, and usage of different types of respirators.
