We've been talking recently in this blog about young athletes, their coaches, and the importance of CPR training. The hero of today's blog is Trevor Brown, 17, who saved a life at the Del Mar Highlands Town Center in San Diego this past April.
Here's Trevor's story in a video from ABC's 10News.com:
As any parent or sports enthusiast knows, a prime location for injuries and incidents are the courts and fields where we and our children pursue the athletic games we love. For tennis player Trevor, he was inspired by a program called Athletes Saving Athletes, designed to help players come to the aid of their teammates. We applaud this confident young man for taking those skills he learned into his community and coming to the aid of a stranger.
Whether you are a dedicated gym user, a weekend warrior, or even just a sports-loving couch potato, there's a CPR and first aid class near you. Take the class, make the difference—it's that easy.
