February is Heart Month! Raise Awareness About SCA [INFOGRAPHIC]

2013 Heart Month is officially here. Each year, the President declares February as American Heart Month, to raise awareness of the prevalence of heart disease in the U.S. We’ve put together this infograph to help spread the word about heart health and how basic CPR and AED skills can be the key factor in saving a life.

The nationwide SCA Awareness through Ross Dress for Less has been a success in our small town. Ross has allowed me to have CPR/AED demonstrations in their store on Saturdays, they have over a dozen handouts about SCA/Wellness donated from our local Health Awareness Coalition, red pins for the customers who give donations, Oriental Trading had a great special on smiley face heart stress balls that I give away to those who ask me about CPR/AED (and kids, of course!), Zazzle had a special on their "got CPR?" t-shirts which has turned out to be a great eye-catcher as I it where around town, and the best of all...HSI/ASHI and American Heart Association are working together to get all this great info out to the community! Wow!! :)
