Emergency Care From the Easy Chair

When I think of my easy chair, I think comfort, warmth, and being at home surrounded by friends and family. So I am naming my HSI blog “From the Easy Chair” because when I think about our family of emergency care training organizations ASHI, MEDIC First Aid, 24-7 EMS, 24-7 Fire, EMP Canada, First Safety Institute (FSI), and GotoAID, I believe that it’s our job to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and supported in your efforts for success. All of us at HSI are here for you and with you.

As 2011 comes to a close and we prepare for 2012, there’s an incredible amount of activity going on. Instructors are completing their 2010 Guidelines Update process (finally), training centers are utilizing remaining budget dollars to get ahead of next year’s schedule, and emergency services personnel are completing their courses for CECBEMS-accredited training with 24-7 EMS. Here at HSI we’re putting the finishing touches on new programs like Bloodborne Pathogens and products like digital certification and blended PediatricPlus.

We know it’s been a busy year for you (and for us) with implementing the new G2010 Guidelines for emergency care training programs and I want to thank you for your support of HSI!

Bill Clendenen, CEO of Health & Safety Institute (HSI)

As we move into 2012, we plan on providing you more information on topics that you care about. Let me know what is of interest to you, it may become another topic from the Easy Chair.

From all of us at HSI and our family of brands, we wish you a safe and joyous holiday season and a healthy and happy New Year!

Celebrate life!

Bill Clendenen
